Body Building for Girls

The term “girl” is generally thought of to be a young female, but when we’re talking about body building for girls, we’re really referring to female body building for teen girls. Body building isn’t a sport just reserved for the male sex. Girls can get strong, fit, and toned just like boys although their approach needs to be different.

Girls need to set realistic body building goals when they are trying to figure out just what they want to accomplish with their weight training. Some girls just want to lose weight. Others would like to become toned and firm. Still others are using body building as a way to excel at sports. Set goals and keep those goals in mind during workout programs. Don’t lose sight of those goals and use them as motivation to keep going.

Guys – especially teen guys – produce much more testosterone than girls do, so remember that, as a girl, you won’t be building muscle in the same ways as your male counterparts. You can, however, tone your muscles and sculpt a beautiful body when you keep an eye on the end result you want to achieve.

When it comes to nutrition, girls who are starting a body building routine need to keep a few things in mind. First of all, girls need different nutrients than boys. They require much more iron due to blood loss during menstruation, and they also can benefit from more protein. Protein provides muscle building material in the body, so it should be consumed both through diet as well as supplements.

When speaking of supplements, girls should shy away from testosterone replacement supplements. These types of artificial substances can make a woman or girl look more like a man and can seriously impede health. While they will make your muscles grow stronger and quicker, they should still be avoided for girls who are body building seriously.

Keep in mind that both girls and boys who are body building need to get lots of rest. This is very important for any young person, but when you are working your body, you really need to get a lot of rest. Muscles are grown when the body is in a sedentary state. While you sleep, your muscles will grow and you will be repairing any damage you’ve done while working out.

Get the advice of an adult before you undertake a body building program. It’s very possible for girls who want to use body building as a fitness program to make beautiful bodies that they can be proud of. Just be sure you do it safely and know what you are doing before you start. Then watch the results and enjoy what you’ve done!

Blogging Incognito

Will you believe that blogs are just powerful enough to do different things? For instance, if you want the world to know that you have a beautiful little baby girl, all you need to do is to post a blog on your site or on a blogging community saying such proclamation. If you are not yet contented, you can display the picture of your baby girl by means of photo blogging. Simply post her picture and the whole world will know.

It is good if that will be the case. However the power of blogging is now beginning to be used for black propaganda. In what sense? Take the following instances: There are individuals who are using blogs to exercise their political rights by revealing some horrible expose about certain federal officials that generates personal revenues from a government-funded infrastructure project.

The point here is anyone can actually make a blog without any censorship that will prevent him to post what he wants to post. Much worse, the identity of the blogger is at great risk. What if that federal official founds out your real identity and will make way to eliminate you out of his way? Not only your identity is at stake, but also your life as well.

But the above-mentioned concerns should not prevent you from writing blogs especially if you have good intentions in doing so. Instead, you should be inspired to keep your blog private or accessible only on particular trusted individuals.

This article will show the simplest precaution you can take on how to maintain your personal privacy so that you can still express yourself without facing worse or even fatal consequences. If followed correctly, these precautions can save you from the consequences and from embarrassment or just from plain weirdness in front of your friends and co-workers.

Blog Anonymously

The safest way to express yourself especially when your blog contains uncensored or weird items is to blog anonymously. It is just like writing a poem and taking the “Anonymous” as your author’s name. However, being anonymous in a blog is not just as easy as you might think.

For instance, you want to make a blog that tackles your terrible working environment in your company without risking your boss or co-workers discovering that you are eventually writing about them. Here are some of the techniques and technologies you can use to make it hard for anyone to trace your uncensored blog back to you.

Avoid Mentioning Exact Details about your Blog’s Subject

If you will be creating a blog about your work, never give exact details that will pinpoint directly to your workplace. Details such as where your company is located, how many employees are there, and the specific work it offers should not be revealed. Be generalize in everything that you will place in your blog.

Use Pseudonym to Hide your Identity

Obviously, you need a pseudonym to hide your real identity. However, you need to use pseudonyms that are not related to any information about yourself. For instance, do not use pseudonyms that contain the jumbled letters of your name or jumbled numbers of your birthday. One small personal detail can give your identity away.

Use Anonymizing Technologies

If you are still uncertain of the first two techniques, there are several technical solutions you can use to keep your identity anonymous.

• Invisiblog- a web service that offers anonymous blog hosting for free. You can create blogs without giving out your real name. Even service administrators do not have access to your name as well.

• Tor- it is an anonymous network that routes your Internet traffic through a so-called an overlay network that hides your Internet provider address. It makes hard for anyone to follow the path your data takes.

• Anonymizer- it works as the same as Tor, only that it hides your IP address from the services hosting your blog.

By just following the techniques and technologies suggested in this article, you can now blog without fearing that your real identity will be revealed.

Birth Control and Side Effects

There are different types of birth control pills around. Before you start using any, you should consider the side effects.

Studies have shown that there are only two methods that do not have side effects. First is abstaining however, it may be hard sometimes to control the urge if both of you feel like doing it. The best thing to do then is outercourse or masturbation so the sperm will never come into contact with the egg.

The second is with the use of condoms because it does not release any hormones into the body and it is simply used as a barrier that is disposed off after intercourse.

Spermicides come in different forms. There are creams, film, gel, suppositories and tablets. The side effects of using them include the risk of TSS and one of you will experience a burning or itching sensation. It rarely causes a skin rash but when it happens, this will only go away after some time.

Those who choose to use the diaphragm are at risk of bladder and urinary tract infections. If you have had this in the past, you are strongly discouraged to stop using it. There have also been cases of toxic shock syndrome or TSS but is also quite rate. This should not left in the vagina for more than 24 hours because there will soon be a smelly vaginal discharge, an inflammation or an infection could occur.

Birth control pills have a lot of side effects. These include breast tenderness, headaches, mood changes, nausea, spotting and weight gain. It may also contribute to blood clots, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, breast and liver cancer.

Apart from conventional birth control pills, there is a new one called Seasonale. Since it has been around for only 5 years, there have only been a few reported cases of blood clots in the legs or lungs, stoppage or rupture of a blood vessel in the heart and other organs, liver tumors and high blood pressure. However, those who have been taking it regularly complain of breast tenderness, weight gain, vomiting and difficulty wearing contact lenses.

The morning after pill is better known as an emergency contraceptive pill or ECP. This must be taken 120 hours after unprotected vaginal intercourse. Its side effects are similar to that of conventional pills but if you happen to vomit within an hour of ingesting the pill, it is advised that you call a doctor. Another thing to keep in mind is that this should not be used as a regular birth control pill.

The patch is another and this is applied to the skin. One patch is good for a week and this has to be placed for three consecutive weeks and can be placed anywhere in the body. On the fourth week, the female doesn’t have to stick anything so she can normally go through her monthly menstrual cycle. Side effects include application site reaction, breast symptoms, headaches, mood swings and vomiting.

Injectables are injected into the body every three months. The sides effects include irregular periods, weight gain and vomiting. Something similar to that are implants and those who use it may experience irregular bleeding, headaches, nausea, depression, dizziness, nervousness, weight gain or loss and hair loss.

Majority of the birth control methods around have side effects. If you don’t want to experience any, perhaps not having sex at all is the answer to your problems.

Adoption Photo listing

Adoption Photo listing is done in every state and most international countries. To those who may not know what adoption photo listing is, it is where an adoption agency or the local Division of Social Services has pictures and information of children for adoption on the internet. This is done to improve the chances of the child for finding a family. There are more than 100,000 children in the United States in foster care and hundreds of thousands around the world in orphanages or substitute care. All the children listed on photo listing are for adoption and need a permanent home. Most of these children have special needs. Many of the children are over the age of seven, and the majority of the them are much older. These children have physical, emotional, mental and/or learning disabilities. You will find several sibling groups that wish to stay together. In all states you must have finished your home study before you can adopt.

After reading the description of a child you can request more information. Adoption Photo listing started in 1994 and over 8,000 children have appeared on it. The Adoption Photo list recieves more than two million hits per month. Adoption photo listing is such a powerful way to motivate people even remotely interested in adopting. Many people have a statistic in the back of their minds, knowing that there are millions of children around the world without a home. But that's just it, it's just a statistic. With adoption photo listing it is no longer just a statistic it is reality. Adoption photo listing places a face where it used to be just a number. Not only does it become a picture, but adoption photo listing describes the child. It gives the Childs age, bithdate, state of residence, and the Childs likes and dislikes.

Adoption photo listing is not only beneficial for the child wanting to be adopted, but also beneficial for the adoptive parents. This way the child gets his or her face out there for more to see. Also the adoptive parents have a chance to see pictures and learn about the children. What the children look like, what they like to do, where they come from and sometimes an update on how the child is doing emotionally. This give the adoptive parents more to go on than just a picture or even a number.

Adoption photo listing is not just of children for adoption, but also of families or couples that want to adopt. These adoptive parents have been thoroughly screened and have completed all of the prescreening assessments. Many of them have fertility problems, making it near impossible to have children on their own. These adoption photo listings give information such as the ages of the adoptive parents, when they where married, what their hobbies are and the information about any of the children they have whether they are biological or adopted. They also explain how much they would like to adopt and raise a child, and how wonderful it would be just to be considered for adopting.

All in all adoption photo listing seems to have helped raise the number of children adopted and also helps with parents that want to adopt.

History of Some Christmas Traditions

Christians celebrate Christmas to observe the birth of Jesus Christ, which is an event and not a tradition. But many other

activities related to celebrating the Christmas season evolved from certain traditions, many of which are from other countries,

particularly from peoples in Europe.

Among common items used in Christmas decorations are the holly and the mistletoe. Both are used primarily in wreaths

and garlands. The Druids started the tradition of using the mistletoe as decorative items up to two hundred years before Christ. To

celebrate the winter season, the Druids would gather the plants and use them to decorate their homes. The Druids believed the

mistletoe would bring good luck and ward off evil spirits. They also believed that the mistletoe had a healing quality and could be

used for everything from healing wounds to increase fertility.

In Scandinavia, the mistletoe was seen as a plant of peace and harmony and was associated with Frigga, the goddess of

love. This association is probably what led to the custom of kissing under the mistletoe. In the Victorian period, the English also

would hang mistletoe from ceilings and in doorways during holidays. The habit developed that if someone was standing under the

mistletoe, someone else in the room would kiss that person. Such outright behavior was not generally seen in Victorian society.

The use of the mistletoe in Christmas celebrations was once banned by the church however because of its associations with

pagan traditions, and the use of holly was suggested as a substitute.

Poinsettias are another traditional decorative flower used at Christmas. It is native to Mexico and is named after Joel

Poinsett, who was the first U.S ambassador to Mexico and who brought the plants to America in 1828. Mexicans believe the plants

were a symbol of the Star of Bethlehem and that's one reason they are associated with Christmas. There's also the story that a young

boy was going to see the Nativity Play at a church but realized he didn't have a gift for Baby Jesus. The boy gathered some green

branches, which others scoffed at. But as he placed them near the manger, a bright red poinsettia flower started to bloom on each

branch, which gave rise to their traditional use at Christmas.

Candy canes became a Christmas tradition not because their red and white stripes matched the colors of the season, but for

the most unusual reason of discipline. that's because they were first used as treats that were give to German children to keep them

well-behaved for the duration of church sermons. Over time, the legend of candy canes at Christmas came to be associated with some

of the strongest symbols and beliefs of Christianity: the Father, Son and Holy Ghost known as the Trinity, the Blood of the Son of

God, Jesus as the embodiment of holiness, purity and without sin and the Son of God as the shepherd of man. The candy cane

represents these symbols respectively with its three stripes, its red and white color and its shape.

Sending greeting cards during Christmas and the holidays is as prevalent today as the custom of giving gifts. The tradition

of sending Christmas cards started in 1840 in Britain with the start of public postal delivery service of the 'Penny Post.' Then from

about 1860, large numbers of Christmas greeting cards started to be produced. The popularity of the cards increased in Britain when

they could be sent by the postal service for one half-penny, which was half the price to post a standard letter at the time, if they were

in an unsealed envelope. Religious pictures of Mary, Joseph , Baby Jesus, the angels, shepherds and Wise Men were traditionally

placed on Christmas cards. Some cards today include scenes from the Nativity, but pictures of Santa Claus, winter scenery, Christmas

trees, gift packages and others are also depicted on contemporary Christmas greeting cards.

Apply online for credit card

Is it ok to apply online for credit card?

With the fast pace of our everyday lives, we don’t have time for anything really. This is where the combined power of commerce and technology comes in. The capability to apply online for a credit card is one such example. Yes, you can apply online for a credit card. The revolution behind providing you with the ability to ‘apply online for credit card’ is called ‘internet’. You can not only apply online for credit card but also use your credit card to do online shopping (and get the goods delivered to your door at no extra cost compared to the local store).

So, it is possible to apply online for a credit card. To apply online for credit card, you just have to fill-in an application form that is presented to you on the website of the credit card supplier (who provides the capability to apply online for credit card). This application form is very similar to the one you would have filled-in in person – the details asked are same and the processing of the application is same too. You will find that a lot credit card companies encourage you to apply online for credit card. This is because they save on the costs related to salary of representatives, paper, etc. Moreover, when you apply online for credit card, your details can smoothly flow into the database of the credit card supplier i.e. the manual intervention is minimal when you apply online for credit card. This will in turn lead to faster processing of your application. Though it is not necessarily true, if you apply online for credit card, your credit card might reach you much faster. Moreover, if you apply online for credit card, you save on all the time and hassle associated with approaching a credit card company etc etc. You can compare the credit cards (again online) before you apply online for credit card.

Some people don’t like to apply online for credit card. The main reason is their discomfort in giving out the personal information online. One quick check, before you apply online for credit card, is to see if the website address of the page (where you are required to enter your details) starts with ‘https’. ‘Https’ indicates that it’s a secure website (you might also check if the security certificate is provided by a reputed organisation e.g. Verisign). If you don’t see an https, you should not apply online for credit card of that company. Besides that, some people don’t apply online for credit card because they are not comfortable in filling up the form all by themselves. In such a case, you might either not apply online for credit card (and apply in person instead); or you might just go through the form, note down your questions/problems and seek the answers by calling the customer service centre of the credit card company.

So, applying online for credit card is surely a good option.

Appendicitis in Kids

Many children have their appendix removed even before turning the age of fourteen. And the risk starts to peak as they age. Majority of children who get an abdominal surgery is because of appendicitis. Appendicitis is actually appendix inflammation and as a result, a fingerlike tube grows on the lower right part of large intestine. Appendix is located at the closed end of the larger intestine, known as the cecum, and measures up to many inches. Although, doctors say that the appendix isn’t of much help to the body, but appendix’s inner wall releases antibodies, which are produced by the lymphatic tissues.

Appendicitis can be detected by the onset of pain in the middle portion of the abdomen, the portion above the belly button. After a few hours the area will swell and there will be intense pain when touching the abdomen’s right side. The patient will begin to vomit and will have nausea. There will low fever and there will be problems will gas and stool passage. Some people, after the onset of these symptoms, will take laxatives or enemas mistaking appendicitis for constipation. But this is extremely dangerous, as these medicines will in turn increase the risk of the appendix bursting. So it is recommended to consult the doctor before going for any kind of medication, even any pain relievers. Besides increasing the risk, they even mask the symptoms and makes diagnosis even more hard. If the child’s symptoms are very much similar to that of the appendicitis’ symptoms, he should be immediately taken to the doctor for further diagnosis. The doctor will first study the child’s digestive illnesses’ history. He should also be divulged information about the symptoms, timing, bowel movements and its frequency. The stool should also be checked for mucus or blood. Children, who can communicate, can be asked to point out the location of pain in the abdomen. Toddlers who haven’t started talking or who hesitate to do talk will raise their knees close to the chest, hips will be flexed and the abdomen becomes tender.

Although, the actual cause of this abnormal growth of the appendix is not known, but it can result because of some kind of obstruction or infection in the intestines. The obstruction can be created due to thick mucus build-up inside the appendix. Some part of the stool can also enter inside. There will be mucus formation and the stool will harden within resulting in the swelling up of the appendix. If it is an infection, it should be treated immediately, as it can burst and there is a danger of the infection spreading to other parts of the body via bloodstream. That is the reason why even blood test is done, so as to determine whether the infection has spread or not. The urine test is done to check for problems in the urinary tract. The problem is then confirmed with the help of computed tomography or an ultrasound. Sometimes children with pneumonia have the similar symptoms, so to make matters clear even X-ray of the chest is done. Medical attention must be sought within forty eight hours of the start of the abdominal pain. Sometimes, abdomen develops mild inflammation, many weeks before the diagnosis is done.

After the diagnosis is done and appendicitis is determined, appendectomy is performed on the patient. The doctor will immediately order the intake of antibiotics before the surgery is performed. In case of confined appendicitis, it can be treated solely by antibiotics and no surgery is required. This is because the inflammation is very mild and the body itself fights with the infection. But, still as a precautionary measure, such kinds of patients must be kept in observation until their condition becomes stabilized. If the appendix ruptured then appendicle perforation is done. In this procedure, a drain is inserted inside the skin, through the abscess with the help of CT scan or ultrasound which gives the exact location. Some people develop complications later such as wound infection and accumulation of puss inside the appendix.

"Life With Woody" 10 inspirational quotes than can improve yourself

It might take a little coffee or probably a few rounds of beer or any other booze you could get your hands on when it comes to relaxing after a hard day's work. Well, yeah I'm guilty about that one as well, unless I'm caught dead wearing a lampshade over my head after a few rounds of vodka… half-naked! Okay, bad example and I apologize to everyone reading this after getting nightmares about me in that state of drunken stupor.

Just don't ask how it happened, please.

But what's really interesting is that how do people go through the usual part of life when faced with vein-popping stress? I mean, the new age thing like Zen or yoga is one of the good things and it actually works. Is there room for the intellectual side of people who can actually smell the roses-in-a-can while on the move? It kind of had me thinking that there really must be something in this 'mind-over-matter' thing.

Humor is indeed the best medicine there is whenever you are. I mean anyone can pay good money to listen to a comedian just to make you wet your pants after laughing so hard. Despite of what's been happening, and to those who has gone though the ordeal, it's better to just laugh while facing the troubles with a clear mind than anger with a clouded vision. One of my favorite celebrities of all time may have to be Woody Allen. Now this is one guy who gives you the in-your-face bluntness that he pulls out with gusto, even without even trying. You can talk just about anything with a man, and he's bound to mock the subject and you'll end up laughing rather than being upset about it.

Woody Allen has this to say:

1. "Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons." It sounds good to me, I mean the practicality of all things does involve money but it doesn't have to take an arm and a leg to get it.

2. "I believe there is something out there watching us. Unfortunately, it's the government." 'Nuff said.

3. "There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?" This happens to be one of the classic ones. I mean the issue about life's little problems isn't all that bad, until 'he' shows up.

Sure, relationships can get complicated, or does have its complications that probably any author about relationships is bound to discover it soon. We follow what our heart desires, unless you're talking about the heart as in the heart that pump blood throughout your body.

4. "Love is the answer, but while you're waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty interesting questions." And if you want more, just keep on asking!

5. "A fast word about oral contraception. I asked a girl to go to bed with me, she said 'no'." It sounds, 'practical', I think.

And when it comes to everyday life, he really knows how to make the best out of every possible scenario, and it doesn't involve a lawsuit if he strikes a nerve.

6. "Basically my wife was immature. I'd be at home in the bath and she'd come in and sink my boats." I never had a boat in my bathtub before. Just staring at it while soaking in hot water makes me seasick already.

7. "I am not afraid of death, I just don't want to be there when it happens." If it rains, it pours.

8. "I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose." It could get worse when you're guzzling on beer… or mouthwash, and it happened to me once!

9. "If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans." At least he doesn't smite us with lightning, and I'm thankful for that.

And despite of what may happen to all of us in the next ten, twenty, or even thirty years, I guess we all have to see things in a different kind of light and not just perspective. I can't seem to imagine life without any piece of wisdom that could guide us. Whether we're religious or not, it takes more courage to accept your fears and learn how to deal with them is all that matters when it comes to even just getting along.

And to sum things up, here is the last nugget of wisdom to go by… however, whenever, and wherever we may be.

10. "The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don't have."

Beeston Castle

Ranulf de Blundeville, the most powerful of the palatine earls of Chester, began Beeston Castle in 1225. Prompted by the King's growing growing mistrust, he built several strong castles to protect his territories. It is possible that Beeston was intended as an impressive new seat of administration away from the mercantile bustle of Chester. As an experienced soldier and crusader Ranulf clearly appreciated castles built in the new idiom - with round flanking towers and no keep - and the great rock of Beeston provided a wonderful situation for one.

An Iron Age fort occupied this site, two miles south of Tarporley, but Beeston is a product of the time when castle building was approaching its zenith. It occupies a huge sandstone hill rising dramatically out of the Cheshire plain. The castle does not have a keep as such but its compact inner bailey occupies the highest corner of the rock, so the Norman motte and bailey concept had not been entirely forsaken.

The outer bailey follows the contours of the hill and is large enough to gave accommodated a vast retinue. A nineteenth century gatehouse forms the entrance to the site, and some ascent is necessary before the real outer gatehouse is reached. More than half of the outer curtain has disappeared but the long section on the east side of the hill has seven towers, spaced closely together to provide effective flanking fire. These towers are the semi-circular, open-backed variety often found on town walls of this period.

A long ascent through the outer bailey takes us to the summit. A rock-cut ditch of exceptional width and depth, now spanned by a modern bridge, cuts off the inner bailey. A squat gatehouse, perhaps the earliest in England to be equipped with round-fronted flanking towers, guards the entrance. The site commands magnificent views.

PAPER RECYCLING AND EASY SOURCE OF EXTRA INCOME FOR ANYONE

One of the easiest (and best) ways of making extra money is by collecting old newspapers and selling them to a "recycling plant" in your area.

Just look around your own home--in the garage or the basement. What do you do with the old newspapers after you've read them? Most likely they are piled up in a corner of the garage or basement until one of your kids asks if he can haul them off for the school or cub scout paper drive. Or maybe your wife and kids get ambitious some weekend, clean out the garage and haul all those newspapers off to the collection truck at the local shopping center.

It's true that selling stacks of newspapers you've accumulated during the past couple of months or so won't make you rich, or really mount to much of an extra income. But think about the stacks of old newspapers you would have if you were to collect and haul away for the people in your neighborhood--say a ten-pound stack of newspapers from each house on your street every Saturday. The picture changes, doesn't it?

If you're serious, and get yourself properly organized, you can easily make $300 or more every weekend.

Right now,the going rate for old newspapers is about $50 a ton, depending upon your area. Most recycling depots prefer the paper lose rather than bundled or sacked. Check with the recycling plant you plan to sell to before delivery to them. Cardboard--ordinary cardboard boxes that have been flattened--is bring approximately $75 a ton. If you're going to collect old newspapers, you may just as well take cardboard too. Most people have old boxes around that are just taking up space, ad some will even pay you to get rid of them.

You start clearing a space in your garage for storage. One side of a two-car garage, or just an 8 by 12 foot space would be sufficient. If you have a garden shed that is dry, that would work well also. Some collectors even rent space in a neighborhood mini-warehouse.

Next, you should place and ad in your community newspaper or the weekly shopping news, something like this: Junk, old newspapers and cardboard boxes hauled away. Phone 123-4567. Then visit your neighbors. Tell them you are collecting and hauling away all the old newspapers and boxes in te neighborhood each week. You might offer them $5 a month if they' have everything ready fr you when you make your weekend collection round.

On Saturdays, starting at about 9:00 a.m., rent an open trailer and hitch it to your car. if you have a pick-up truck, so much the better. With your wife and kids, a coupe of neighbor boys, or perhaps a couple of teenage "huskies" you've hired through your local high school, start making your rounds.

You drive the car with the trailer. Your helpers, one on each side of the street, knock on each door and ask the residents if they have any old newspapers or cardboard boxes you can haul away for them.

It would be advantageous for you to have a large sign on each side of your trailer, and on each side of the car as well. It might read: Paper Collection Service.

Visit the people you've talked to on your block first. That will give you some paper in the trailer and from there, you just expand. Go to the next block and the next, driving up and down the streets, visiting, stopping at all the homes, in an ever expanding ripple from your own street.

When your trailer is full of old newspapers, you can either take them directly to your recycling plant and sell the load, or take them to your storage area, unload them, and get everything organized. It's very important, though, that you get right back to the job of knocking on doors and collecting more newspapers and cardboard.

Some people will (foolishly) collect a load, take it in for sale, and then waste the time gloating over the easy money they've just made. One load won't make you rich or even pay for your time. Get right back on the job and collect as many loads as the daylight hours will allow.

Make the same rounds; follow the same collection route, at least once every two weeks. Once you've got the routine working well, you'll be ready to hire a couple of high school or college students to help, perhaps with another car and trailer.

The best way to pay your help is with a percentage of the tonnage you sell. And then too, once you have it all together, you'll want to go with a truck or trailer that allows you to haul a couple of tons of paper per load.

It's important that you make regular rounds, calling on the same houses regularly. After about six months of this, you'll be ready to open a local recycling depot.

This simply means taking the accumulation of paper out of your home or garden shed ad moving it to a business location. Because of your advertising in the newspapers, and the sign on your truck or trailer, people will be calling you during the week to come and pick up paper they have ready for you. Also, your neighbors will very likely be dropping by with armloads of paper for you from time to time, as well. Specifically, these are the reasons you'll need storage space to store paper in your garage or other storage area until you have enough to load up and take to the recycling plant.

One of the best locations for your recycling depot is an abandoned or closed down service station perhaps a vacant , or even a corner of a large shopping center parking ara. You'll need a scale (you can rent or lease one of these for a small amount), and a quick set-up tent or large truck.

What you want to do is establish a location where people can come to you They bring their newspapers and two cents a pound for cardboard boxes. You an hire someone to man this center for you during the day, or perhaps only open between 4 and 6 o'clock in the afternoons. Advertise your hours, and be dependable, so that people can count on you.

Even though you have a collection depot, you'll still want to continue your weekend collection rounds. But with a collection depot, you can hire other people to do the driving, knock on doors, make the collections and transfer their loads into the depot facility. If it's a big truck or trailer, you'll be selling ten to fifteen tons of paper whenever you make your trips to te recycling plant.

Another important thing you should think about doing is getting the whole community involved with you. Get them to thinking about recycling paper and selling to you. Run some promotions; work for free publicity;and be conspicuous. Don't be embarrassed; everyone is aware of te need for recycling everting that can be recycled. And you'll be admired as someone with the ambition to make it happen, picking up a good second income while you're doing it.

2. When you advertise, state the price of your product and add Plus

Postage e.g. "A DOZEN AND ONE WAYS TO REDUCE POSTAGE" $1 plus

stamp or SASE (self addressed stamped envelope). When inviting

inquiries always say "For information send SASE".

3. Advertise that you will do paid mailing. Set a competitive

price and recover some if not all of the costs involved in

mailing your own offers.

4. Write a good plan or folio; then create a good ad to sell it.

Or offer it to others on a "commission" or "all profit" basis

and fill the orders for a SASE. Your offers can then go along

for a free ride when you fill the orders.

5. Make up an interesting ad sheet. Use up some of the spaces for

your own ads then sell enough ads to others to cover the cost of

postage, printing, advertising etc.

6. Advertise a "Free Big Mail for Postage - the More Postage the

More Mail". (Big mail consists of at least one mailorder

publication plus a variety of circulars).

7. Do exchange mailing. You mail 100 of another dealer's circulars

and they will mail 100 or yours.

8. Purchase an accurate postal scale. Then you will never add more

postage than necessary OR you can use up the full value of the

postage being used.

9. Reduce postage by at least 40% by using Bulk Mail. Inquire at

the Post Office. This requires the mailer (U.S.) to sort their

mail by state and zip code and mail at least 200 like pieces at

one time.

10. Save all the used postage stamps off your mail then sell them

to the agents who advertise in the mailorder publications. One

such company is: Mel Enterprises, Box 3777, High River, AB,

Canada T0L 1B0.

11. Stamps that have not been cancelled due to an error of the

postal cancellation machine may be used again.

12. Accept stamps from another country. If you can't use them trade

with a dealer from that country for stamps that you can use or

buy something from them paying them with stamps of equal value.

13. Watch mailorder publications for dealers who have new stamps to

sell at a reduced price.

N.B. It is false economy to not send a SASE when making

inquiries of other dealers. You are more likely to receive

an answer much more quickly and it improves business relations.

The Different Types of B Vitamins

There are a large number of B vitamins that are needed to keep all of the body functions performing properly. All of the B vitamins are essential for a number of different processes. Without sufficient B vitamins the blood supply would not be healthy and this leads to a variety of illnesses and diseases. The brain needs B vitamins to function correctly and the heart also needs B vitamins to stay healthy and prevent heart disease and food is broken down into the various nutrients by B vitamins. In fact, just about every organ and process within the body requires at least one form of the B vitamin.

Thiamin, or B1, is the B vitamin that the body needs to keep all of its cells, especially the nerves, functioning correctly. It is especially important for memory and general mental health and is one of the B vitamins that is required to convert food into energy.

Riboflavin, or B2, is the B vitamin that is essential for releasing the enrgy from food that has been consumed. Without this B vitamin the body cannot grow or develop properly as red blood cells will not be as healthy as they should be.

Niacin, or B3, is the B vitamin that is involved in over fifty processes, ranging from detoxifying chemicals to making hormones and releasing energy from food.

Pantothenic acid, or B5,works with several other B vitamins for a number of essential processes including breaking down fats, proteins, and carbohydrates into energy and is also the B vitamin that is needed to form vitamin D, a variety of hormones, and red blood cells.

Pyridoxine, or B6, is the B vitamin that is largely responsible for redistributing the amino acids to create over five thousand proteins that are needed by the body and is also one of the B vitamins needed to form various enzymes.

Biotin, or B7, is one of the B vitamins that are involved in a number of processes within the body, including the breaking down of fats, carbohydrates and proteins into useable energy forms.

Folic acid, or B9, is the essential B vitamin for aiding in cell growth and division, especially during pregnancy. This B vitamin is also necessary to make natural chemicals which control the appetite, moods and quality of sleep. It is also the best B vitamin for helping lower the chances of suffering a heart attack or stroke by keeping the arteries open.

Cobalamin, or B12, is one of the B vitamins that is important in the process of converting the carbohydrates, proteins, and fats into energy. This B vitamin is also vital in forming the protective covering of nerve cells and to keep red blood cells healthy, and help prevent heart disease.

Battling Travel Anxiety

The classic anxiety story about travel involves being on the road for a while only to suddenly remember that you forgot to turn off the oven. While that is a domestic story, there is just as much or more anxiety that can go into getting on the road for a business purpose as there is for private travel. The details that must be taken care of to put a business trip on the road can be overwhelming.

It is easy to develop an anxiety complex when going on a business trip and get to where you are in a constant state of stress and worry that you have forgotten something or that there is an important detail that was left undone before you left. This stress anxiety can be destructive to your business goals for the trip. So you need some basic concepts that you can go back to just before the business trips gets underway and as you get on the road so you have some ammunition to combat travel anxiety en route.

* Call in the troops. One big way to stop travel anxiety in its tracks is to utilize your business partners to help you prepare for the trip. It is likely that a number of people in your chain of command or in your department have a vested interest in seeing the trip you are setting out to accomplish is a success. Use their help to plan the trip and to develop detailed check lists of what has to happen before you leave and what has to go with you. Then on the day before you depart, meet with those associates and review those lists. As you check off each thing, insist that your associate initial the list to validate that the detail was taken care of. Then take the list with you. By consulting it often, you can calm yourself that you did take care of all the details along the way.

* Did you forget your head? Ok so you have a good system in to make sure all of your business needs are covered, the next level of anxiety comes when you are sitting on the airplane and you wonder if you packed everything you need for travel personally. There are a couple of antidotes to this type of travel anxiety. First of all, use a similar check list system to assure you have what you need on the flight. You can develop a travel check list that you maintain and update from business trip to business trip. As you use that list each trip, you will discover any missing items or things to do and update the list. And by checking each need off as you take care of it before you travel, you can calm that nervous system of yours that you have done everything so its time to relax.

* What do you really need after all? Second of all, if that check list system has dozens of items and issues on it, much of that can be eliminated by that simple question. The truth is there is very little you really need that you cannot get there if you forgot something at home. You must have your airline tickets, your driver’s license and credit card and any special medication that cannot be found at your destination. If you have plenty of credit, there really is little else you cannot buy at your destination point if you forgot something or other. Comfort yourself that the trip won’t grind to a halt if you forgot something.

* But what if? That question literally can drive you insane. If you let yourself start thinking about whether the plane will crash or if your dog dies while you are away or the hundred of other “what ifs” that might happen, you will turn into a ball of anxiety before the first flight is done. So the answer to “but what if?” is “that has not happened so far and the odds it will happen this time are remote.” Use some logic and adult thinking to combat emotional urge to worry.

The urge to worry is natural in all of us. Its part of your urgent desire to do well on the road. But make one of the things on that check list of things that must happen for this business trip to be a success just one word which is “RELAX”.

Binoculars for Bird Watching

Bird watching is a very popular hobby next to gardening. Given that these creatures come in all sorts of colors, shapes and sizes, how can we not watch and enjoy them? All you need is a book and a good pair of binoculars for bird watching.

The challenging part about bird watching is the fact that this requires a lot of patience and practice. But once you get the idea, you are able to improve your style and in no time be addicted to this hobby.

But why do you need a pair of binoculars? Simply because you cannot get too close to the birds on your own. Otherwise, you will just scare them and they will fly away.

A good pair will allow you to see them up close while those that are of poor quality will not really make you enjoy what you are looking at. When you are looking for a good pair to buy, go for something branded and although this may seem expensive, just consider it as a long term investment.

One thing you have to be sure of this that the magnification of the binoculars should at least have 7x power. What this means in simple English is that you can see it 7 times closer than they actually are. There are other brands that can do 8x and 10x but some find it difficult to hold it steady.

You will notice that there is a second number after the x that could be 35 or 40. This describes the diameter in millimeters how large the lens is when it is faced with the object of interest.

The rule of thumb here is that the higher the figure is, the greater the amount of light will enter through the binoculars making the image clear and not blurred.

You must never ever buy compact or pocket sizes binoculars even if they say it is 8 x 21 or 10 x 21. This is because they only have a narrow field of view so it is hard to keep track of the bird when they take flight.

Once you have found the right binoculars for bird watching, it is time to get a book that shows a description and information about the bird. You have to remember that not all birds are found in the same area and when you have an idea of what you are looking for it will be very easy for you to narrow your search.

With the two things in hand, you can already go off bird watching. Some people start by looking out the windows of their homes and then going to the zoo before venturing off into the park.

It will also be a good idea to join a bird watching club as they organize field trips out of town and go into the forests which allows you to get up close and personal with these creatures in their own natural habitat.

If only humans could zoom in on an image like the eagle, we wouldn’t need to bring a pair of binoculars for bird watching around. But since we don’t, we need something to help us out. Remember, you don’t always have to buy the most expensive one around because patience and skill are essential when you are out there trying to spot them amongst the trees.

Advantages And Disadvantages

Bluetooth has a lot to offer with an increasingly

difficult market place. Bluetooth helps to bring

with it the promise of freedom from the cables and

simplicity in networking that has yet to be matched

by LAN (Local Area Network).

In the key marketplace, of wireless and handheld

devices, the closest competitor to Bluetooth is

infrared. Infrared holds many key features,

although the line of sight it provides doesn't go

through walls or through obstacles like that of the

Bluetooth technology.

Unlike infrared, Bluetooth isn't a line of sight and

it provides ranges of up to 100 meters. Bluetooth

is also low power and low processing with an

overhead protocol. What this means, is that it's

ideal for integration into small battery powered

devices. To put it short, the applications with

Bluetooth are virtually endless.

Disadvantages

Bluetooth has several positive features and one

would be extremely hard pressed to find downsides

when given the current competition. The only real

downsides are the data rate and security. Infrared

can have data rates of up to 4 MBps, which provides

very fast rates for data transfer, while Bluetooth

only offers 1 MBps.

For this very reason, infrared has yet to be

dispensed with completely and is considered by

many to be the complimentary technology to that

of Bluetooth. Infrared has inherent security due

to its line of sight.

The greater range and radio frequency (RF) of

Bluetooth make it much more open to interception and

attack. For this reason, security is a very key

aspect to the Bluetooth specification.

Although there are very few disadvantages, Bluetooth

still remains the best for short range wireless

technology. Those who have tried it love it, and

they know for a fact that Bluetooth will be

around for years to come.

Allington Castle

Allington Castle stands beside the River Medway about a mile north of Maidstone. This beautiful, moated castle seems perfect, but the perfection has been contrived in modern times.

Henry II destroyed a Norman castle after the revolt of 1173-74. The low mound immediately southwest of the present castle represents the motte and some herringbone masonry is visible in the curtain facing it. Other than that, Sir Stephen de Penchester, Constable of Dover Castle and Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports built the existing structure. He obtained license to crenellate in 1291 and the original survives.

His castle is characteristic of the Edwardian age but is not uncompromisingly military like the contemporary castles of Wales. In design, it reflects the quadrangular layout that was becoming popular, but the rear bows outwards in a gentle curve and the distribution of towers is quite irregular.

Five D-shaped towers of different sizes project from the curtain, though one or two others existed originally. Solomon's Tower, at the south corner, is the largest and may be regarded as an early tower house. There is also a gatehouse flanked by simple, half-round turrets; the machicolations above the gateway are modern.

Some ruins of barbican survive on the far side of the moat. The range on the southwest side of th courtyard, known as the Penchester Wing, may incorporate a slightly older manor house. However, once the castle was built, the main apartments stood opposite, centered on a hall that still exists but is largely a reconstruction. Only its fifteenth century porch is authentic.

In 1492, Allington was granted to Sir Henry Wyatt in recognition of his loyalty to Henry VII. He upgraded the castle by building the narrow range which divides the courtyard into two unequal parts. Its upper floor forms a long gallery. The picturesque, half-timbered house within the smaller enclosure also dates from the Wyatt period.

BATHING AND CLEANLINESS DURING INFANCY AND CHILDHOOD.

During infancy.

---------------

cleanliness is essential to the infant's health. The principal points to which especial attention must be paid by the parent for this purpose are the following:

At first the infant should be washed daily with warm water; and a bath every night, for the purpose of thoroughly cleaning the body, is highly necessary. To bathe a delicate infant of a few days or even weeks old in cold water with a view "to harden" the constitution (as it is called), is the most effectual way to undermine its health and entail future disease. By degrees, however, the water with which it is sponged in the morning should be made tepid, the evening bath being continued warm enough to be grateful to the feelings.

A few months having passed by, the temperature of the water may be gradually lowered until cold is employed, with which it may be either sponged or even plunged into it, every morning during summer. If plunged into cold water, however, it must be kept in but a minute; for at this period, especially, the impression of cold continued for any considerable time depresses the vital energies, and prevents that healthy glow on the surface which usually follows the momentary and brief action of cold, and upon which its usefulness depends. With some children, indeed, there is such extreme delicacy and deficient reaction as to render the cold bath hazardous; no warm glow over the surface takes place when its use inevitably does harm: its effects, therefore, must be carefully watched.

The surface of the skin should always be carefully and thoroughly rubbed dry with flannel, indeed, more than dry, for the skin should be warmed and stimulated by the assiduous gentle friction made use of. For this process of washing and drying must not be done languidly, but briskly and expeditiously; and will then be found to be one of the most effectual means of strengthening the infant. It is especially necessary carefully to dry the arm-pits, groins, and nates; and if the child is very fat, it will be well to dust over these parts with hair-powder or starch: this prevents excoriations and sores, which are frequently very troublesome. Soap is only required to those parts of the body which are exposed to the reception of dirt.

During childhood.

----------------

When this period arrives, or shortly after, bathing is but too frequently left off; the hands and face of the child are kept clean, and with this the nurse is satisfied; the daily ablution of the whole body, however, is still necessary, not only for the preservation of cleanliness, but because it promotes in a high degree the health of the child.

A child of a vigorous constitution and robust health, as he rises from his bed refreshed and active by his night's repose, should be put into the shower-bath, or, if this excites and alarms him too much, must be sponged from head to foot with salt water. If the weather be very cold, the water may be made slightly tepid, but if his constitution will bear it, the water should be cold throughout the year. Then the body should be speedily dried, and hastily but well rubbed with a somewhat coarse towel, and the clothes put on without any unnecessary delay. This should be done every morning of the child's life.

If such a child is at the sea-side, advantage should be taken of this circumstance, and seabathing should be substituted. The best time is two or three hours after breakfast; but he must not be fatigued beforehand, for if so, the cold bath cannot be used without danger. Care must be taken that he does not remain in too long, as the animal heat will be lowered below the proper degree, which would be most injurious. In boys of a feeble constitution, great mischief is often produced in this way. It is a matter also of great consequence in bathing children that they should not be terrified by the immersion, and every precaution should be taken to prevent this. The healthy and robust boy, too, should early be taught to swim, whenever this is practicable, for it is attended with the most beneficial effects; it is a most invigorating exercise, and the cold bath thus becomes doubly serviceable.

If a child is of a delicate and strumous constitution, the cold bath during the summer is one of the best tonics that can be employed; and if living on the coast, sea-bathing will be found of singular benefit. The effects, however, of sea-bathing upon such a constitution must be particularly watched, for unless it is succeeded by a glow, a feeling of increased strength, and a keen appetite, it will do no good, and ought at once to be abandoned for the warm or tepid bath. The opinion that warm baths generally relax and weaken, is erroneous; for in this case, as in all cases when properly employed, they would give tone and vigour to the whole system; in fact, the tepid bath is to this child what the cold bath is to the more robust.

In conclusion: if the bath in any shape cannot from circumstances be obtained, then cold saltwater sponging must be used daily, and all the year round, so long as the proper reaction or glow follows its use; but when this is not the case, and this will generally occur, if the child is delicate and the weather cold, tepid vinegar and water, or tepid salt water, must be substituted.

Types of Costs

Direct costs are those costs that cann be directly attributed to a product or product line, or to one source of sales revenue, or one business unit or operation of the business. An example of a direct cost would be the cost of tires on a new automobile.

Indirect costs are very different and can't be attached to any specific product, unit or activity. The cost of labor or benefits for an auto manufacturer is certainly a cost, but it can't be attached to any one vehicle. Each business has to devise a method of allocating indirect costs to different products, sources of sales revenue, business units, etc. Most allocation methods are less than perfect, and generally end up being arbitrary to one degree or another. Business managers and accounts should always keep an eye on the allocation methods used for indirect costs and take the cost figures produced by these methods with a grain of salt.

Fixed costs are those costs that stay the same over a relatively broad range of sales volume or production output. They're like an albatross around the neck of business and a company must sell its product at a high enough profit to at least break even.

Variable costs can increase and decrease in proportion to changes in sales or production level. Variable costs vary proportionately with changes in production/

Relevant costs are essentially future costs that could be incurred, depending on what strategic course a business takes. If an auto manufacturer decides to increase production, but the cost of tires goes up, than that cost needs to be taken into consideration.

Irrelevant costs are those that should be disregarded when deciding on a future course of action. They're costs that could cause you to make a wrong decision. Whereas relevant costs are future costs, irrelevant costs are those costs that were incurred in the past. The money's gone.

Depreciation

Depreciation is a term we hear about frequently, but don't really understand. It's an essential component of accounting however. Depreciation is an expense that's recorded at the same time and in the same period as other accounts. Long-term operating assets that are not held for sale in the course of business are called fixed assets. Fixed assets include buildings, machinery, office equipment, vehicles, computers and other equipment. It can also include items such as shelves and cabinets. Depreciation refers to spreading out the cost of a fixed asset over the years of its useful life to a business, instead of charging the entire cost to expense in the year the asset was purchased. That way, each year that the equipment or asset is used bears a share of the total cost. As an example, cars and trucks are typically depreciated over five years. The idea is to charge a fraction of the total cost to depreciation expense during each of the five years, rather than just the first year.

Depreciation applies only to fixed assets that you actually buy, not those you rent or lease. Depreciation is a real expense, but not necessarily a cash outlay expense in the year it's recorded. The cash outlay does actually occur when the fixed asset is acquired, but is recorded over a period of time.

Depreciation is different from other expenses. It is deducted from sales revenue to determine profit, but the depreciation expense recorded in a reporting period doesn't require any true cash outlay during that period. Depreciation expense is that portion of the total cost of a business's fixed assets that is allocated to the period to record the cost of using the assets during period. The higher the total cost of a business's fixed assets, then the higher its depreciation expense.

Adult Dyslexia: Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program

Another program to treat adult dyslexia is the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program (LIPS). This program generally uses phoneme awareness as its method to learn how to read efficiently.

The Program’s Premise

This method believes in the premise that the primary cause of problems related to decoding and spelling is the individual’s complexity in judging the identity, sound sequence and number that is found within words. This inability is then termed to be “weak phoneme awareness”.

A dyslexic person is basically thought of to have a weakness in his or her phonological processing. This weakness is the said cause on why both children and adults tend to add, substitute, omit, and reverse the sounds and the letters within the words that they read.

People with dyslexia cannot precisely get the words they are reading off the page, simply because even though they can correctly see the letters, they are unable to judge whether what they see would match what they are about to say. Because of this poor judgment, they are prevented from correcting and detecting their errors in spelling, reading and speech. Additionally, this can be the cause of difficulty when a person tries to learn a second language.

What It Does

The program aims to successfully develop a person with dyslexia’s phoneme awareness. Here you are able to apply the so-called awareness to your reading, spelling, writing, and speech both remedially and preventively.

If you train in this kind of program, you are aided to find out the different mouth actions that can produce real speech sounds. By the use of this kind of sensory information, you can verify sounds and know their order within words. Once you know this kind of skill, you are then enabled to correct yourself when reading, writing, spelling, and speaking.

Program Intensity

Generally, people under this program tend to gain several grade levels on their decoding ability within four to six weeks of having intensive training and treatment. If you are to undergo an intensive program, then you are required to undergo therapy for four hours in a day.

However, if you still have the choice on how intense you want your program to be. If you want it light, then they can adjust it so.

Findings have also shown that additional gains in speech and language skills have also occurred by the means of this sensory-cognitive method. This was observed even after the individuals have already reached a plateau through the traditional approach of speech therapy.

Where You Can Find It

You can undergo this kind of program by going to a Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes Center. You can find one in over fifteen states in the United States and United Kingdom. The public can have access to materials that are included in the program such as a manual with a detailed presentation of the steps that you have to take in the program. Some outlines and sample dialogues are also included.

You would also need some of their support products. Some of these are their classroom kit, program clinical kit, training videos, a practice CD, and a testing kit. These products are included already when you apply for their program.

Other Conditions For The Program

The program also caters to other conditions related to dyslexia, such as hyperlexia. This is a condition where you may have specific problems in comprehending the data that you just read, even though you can read it accurately.

THE $500.00 A MONTH PLAN

One way to make extra money or start a business of your own is by

placing advertising which will pay a good profit. Selling printed

information by mail can be financially rewarding. Classified

advertising is the cheapest way to get into Mail Order and it is

often possible to raise a fortune from these small ads. Just

check any large publication such as Popular Mechanics, for their

classified advertising section and you can see yourself the many

ads.

These small ads, running month after month would not be there if

they were not profitable and making money. according to some of

the promotional material being sent around the country, you could

make up to $500.00 or possibly more by running the following

classified ads over your name and address. They ask you to pick

up a top national publication and test either one or both under

"Money-Making Opportunities" headings and watch the dollars come

in. I did not run any of these ads myself but was told they

really are both profitable. Here are the programs and the

advertisements:

"How would you like to receive $25 daily and keep all the money?

For complete set-up rush $1 to (Your name and address)"

" $500 monthly, work at home, receive money daily. For complete

set-up send $1 to (Your name and address here)"

You are supposed to fill orders you receive with a copy of this

sheet you are now reading. Make photocopies or get a supply

printed to send as needed.

There are other variations of this plan, but all serve the same

purpose: to sell printed information to people who are interested

in making some extra money. (they say it is truly possible to

make money with this plan).

If you study the many classified ads in the big national

publications, you may get a better idea of what the leading

companies in Mail Order are doing. You will get a better idea of

how classified advertising works. if you have limited capital, it

would be wise to run your ads in smaller publications such as

small newspapers, small Mail Order Publications and adsheets.

If you have sufficient capital, some good pulling national

magazines or Tabloids are:

*Popular Mechanics

*Money Making Opportunities

*Salesman's Opportunities

*Specialty Salesman

*Mechanics Illustrated

*National Enquirer

And many others to numerous to mention.

many such magazines tabloids and other good publications are

available at your local news stand, library or through Mail

Order. Many of them require a copy of the material you are

selling with your ad and reserve the right not to print certain

ads they feel may be injurious to the public or the image of

their publication

Yes! You can start your own advertising and mailing business at

home and keep finances ahead of inflation but be sure you are

involved in the kind of program that gives you a reasonable

chance to be a winner!

A Gift of Sight: Visual Perception Treatment for Autistic Children

Autism effects every child differently, so it is difficult to find the exact treatments your child needs to cope with his or her symptoms. One thing that effects some autistic children (though, not all) is problems with visual perception. By using some standardized methods to help improve visual perception, you can give your child the ability to see the world more clearly, making learning and comprehension easier and possibly curbing some behavior problems as well.

Autistic children mainly have problems with sensory overload and distortion. These are some of the same problems many people not suffering from the disorder develop, and so many treatment options have become available. Individuals with autism often find, however, that the sensory overload of the world due to light, colors, contrast, shapes, and patterns, is too much to handle, causing them to act out or shut down in general. This is sometimes a genetic condition that is simply enhanced by the autism, so if the child's parents have trouble with reading or have been otherwise treated for visual perceptive problems, there is a good chance that the child needs help as well.

The Irene Method is one effective way to treat visual perception disorders. This method uses color to create a more harmonized world. You may have heard of these methods if anyone has ever suggested using a color filter over the page when reading to be able to read better and more quickly. This method is proven to work, and if your autistic child is at the maturity level of reading, you may want to try these color filters to see if there is a difference in speed and comprehension. However, it is more likely that your autistic child will benefit from color filters during the entire day, not just when reading. Special glasses have been made using colored lenses to conquer this problem. Not every child responds the same way to every color, so it is a process of trial and error to find out which color is the one blocking the harmful light. You can also choose to use colored light bulbs in your home to help autistic individuals with their visual perception problems.

This method mainly helps children in 4 areas: depth perception, social interaction, learning, and physical well being. The colors help the child determine how far he or she is from an object, and the world becomes more three-dimensional, helping depth perception. Social interaction also improves because the child feels as though he or she is in a calmer world and can more clearly see and interpret facial expressions. The colors make it possible to learn, especially when reading, and overall, the child will feel better, because it helps reduce headaches and dizziness. By testing this technique and others to help visual perception problems, you can help your child better cope with the world and his or her autism.

Cleanse Yourself and do Body Detox for better Health

There’s fastfood and processed food and practically a deluge of preservatives in the food we take in these days. Our awareness on healthy lifestyle, particularly healthy eating started at the height of the uproar over the use of genetically-modified organisms of fastfood chains like McDonalds.

People are starting to be more aware of their food intake, starting a new hype over the need for detoxification. Detoxification is the process of removing toxic substances from the body. Primarily referred to as a treatment for alcohol and drug dependence, body detox can also refer to the use of diets, herbs and other methods to remove toxins from the body for general health.

So, are you thinking of cleansing your body? Here are a few tips for healthy and wise and effective detoxification.

Go for a non-toxic lifestyle. This means going for natural food, drinking lots of fluids, especially water, exercising regularly and avoiding toxic food like junkfood, canned good, and other processed food. At the same time, you can try out a Detox Diet that will cleanse your body and give relief to body aches, allergies, digestive problems and other related concerns.

If you’re on a detox program, take as much fresh fruits and vegetables as possible, nuts, beans, rice and grains. On the other hand, take note not to indulge in sugar, caffeine, yeast, alcohol, chocolates and other food rich in additives and preservatives.

Plan your detox program. You can do a weekend fast. It is good to start on a Friday, with the weekend giving you the transition in and out of your detox program. Likewise, make sure that your detox plan is something that you can follow. Detoxifying does not mean starving yourself.

Appreciate nature. Exercise outdoors. The fresh air can do wonders for your lungs and circulation. If you live near the beach, it’s always good to take a walk or sprint early morning by the seashore. Have a balanced schedule of activity that will give you time for work and fun at the same time. Try yoga or pilates. Skip rope or walk in your neighborhood. Do anything to keep that body of yours up and running and always on the go.

Go for the spa. Take a shower and do skin brushing to help you detoxify. Rubbing your skin improves circulation and helps you shed off those dead skin layer.

Make sure that you have a regular bowel movement. Eat food rich in fiber. There’s also tea and other herbs which can help aid bowel movement. When you’re detoxifying, bowel movement is important as it lessens the possibility of toxins being absorbed into the body.

Be positive. A healthy mind means a healthy body. Rid yourself of all negative thoughts. They’re added toxins to the body. Smile and have the will and the commitment to your detox plan.

Or it can be as complicated as following a strict detox diet to eliminate toxins in our deigestive system. Whatever it is, the important thing is, you find a way to cleanse yourself.

THE SELLING SECRETS OF MILLION DOLLAR SALES LETTERS

Regardless of what you're trying to sell, you really can't sell

it without "talking" with your prospective buyer. And in

attempting to sell anything by mail, the sales letter you send

out is when and how you talk to your prospect.

All winning sales letters "talk" to the prpspect by creating an

image in the mind of the reader. They "set the scence" by

appealing to a desire or need; and then thet flow smoothly into

the "visionary" part of the sales pitch by describing in detail

how wonderful life will be and, how "good" the prospect is going

to feel after he's purchased your product. This is the"body or

guts" of a sales letter.

Overall, a winning sales letter follows a time-tested and proven

formula: 1) Get his attention 2) Get him interested in what you

can do for him 3) Make him desire the benefits of your product so

badly his mouth begins to water 4) Demand action from him-tell

him to send for whatever it is you're selling without delay- any

procrastination on his part might cause him to lose out. This is

called the " AIDA' formula and it works.

Sales letters that pull in the most sales are almost always two

pages with 1 1/2 spaces between lines. For really big ticket

items, they'll run at least four pages- on an 11 by 17 inch sheet

of paper folded in half. If your sales letter is only two pages

in length, there's nothing wrong with running it on the front and

back of one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper. However, your sales letter

should always be letterhead paper- your letterhead printed, and

including your logo and business motto if you have one.

Regardless of the length of your sales letter, it should do one

thing, and that's sell, and sell hard! If you intend to close the

sale, you've got to do it with your sales letter. You should

never be "wishy-washy" with your sales letter and expect to close

the sale with a color brochure or circular. You do the actual

selling and the closing of that sale with your sales letter- any

brochure or circular you send along with it will just reinforce

what you say in the sales letter.

Ther's been a great deal of discussion in the past few years

regarding just how long a sales letter should be. A lot of people

are asking: Will people really take the time to read a long sales

letter. The answer is a simple and time-tested yes indeed!

Surveys and tests over the years emphatically proven that longer

sales letter pull even better than the shorter ones, so don't

worry about the length of your sales letter- just make sure that

it sells your product for you!

The "inside secret" is to make your sales letter so interesting,

and "visionary" with the benefits you're offering to the reader,

and he can't resist reading it all the way through. You break up

the "work" of reading by using short, punchy sentences,

underlining important points you're trying to make, with the use

of subheadlines, indentations and even the use of a second color.

Relative to the brochure or circulars you may want to include

with your sales letter reinforce the sale- providing the

materials you're enclosing are the best quality, they will

generally reinforce the sale for you. But, if they are of poor

quality, look cheap and don't complement thing, it will

definitely classify you as an independent home-worker if you

hand-stamp you name/address on these brochures or advertising

circulars.

Whenever possible, and so long as you have really good brochures

to send out, have your printer run them thru his press and print

your name/address- even your telephone number and company logo-

on them before you send them out. The thing is, you want your

prospect to think of you as his supplier- the company- and not

just another mail order operator. Sure, you can get by with less

expense but you'll end up with a fewer orders and in the end,

less profits.

Another thing that's been bandied about and discussed from every

direction for years is whether to use a post office box number of

your street address. Generally, it's best to include both your

post office box number, AND, your street address of your sales

letter. This kind of open display of your honesty will give you

credibility and dispell the thought of you being just another

"fly-by-night" mail order company in the mind of the prospect.

Above all else, you've got to include some sort of ordering

coupon. This coupon has to be simple and easy for the prospect to

fill out and return to you as you can possibly make it. A great

many sales are lost because this order coupon is just to

complicated for the would-be buyer to follow. Don't get fancy!

Keep it simple, and you'll find you prospects responding with

glee.

Should you or shouldn't you include a self-addressed reply

envelope? There are a lot of variables as well as pro's and con's

to this question, but overall, when you send out a "winning"

sales letter to a good mailing list, a return reply envelope will

increase your response tremendously.

Tests of the late seem to indicate that it isn't that big of a

deal or difference in responses relative to whether you or don't

pre-stamp the return envelope. Again, the decision here will rest

primarily on the product you're selling and the mailing list

you're using. Our recommendation is that you experiment- try it

boh ways- with different mailings, and decide for yourslf from

Boating Forums

Why should you join a boating forum? There are many, many reasons why a boating forum is a great place to join. There are tons and tons of websites devoted to the sport of boating. Members of these sites are more than happy to share their love of everything boating as well as things they’ve learned that might help you.

Boating forums can be found everywhere on the Internet. Membership is almost always free, and the things you can learn from boating forums can be invaluable. You may want to consider joining a boating forum that concentrates on a specific area of interest such as a geographical location. Or, you could just join a forum that caters to the type of boating you are interested in.

Just as with other Internet forums, boating forums are filled with all sorts of people who love boating just as much as you do. These people are often happy to share information with fellow members including the best places to travel to, boat care tips, fishing information, and much, much more.

There are many people who report that they have met lifelong friends in these forums. It can be fun to virtually meet people and then make plans to meet in a group at a specific boating destination. Of course, you should never make plans to meet someone alone, but if there is a group trip planned, you could find that you are opening yourself up to a whole new world of camaraderie and fun.

When you become a member of a boating forum, you’ll first need to sign up with a user name. To protect your anonymity, make the name something that has nothing to do with your real name. If you choose to, later, you can reveal your real name to members. Create a password that is unique and that no one will be able to easily deduce.

When you are new to a boating forum, resist sharing any personal information. While many of these forums are safe and easily navigable, you just never know who is online behind that posting! Practice common sense when posting and when answering posts. When you are completely comfortable, you can consider revealing your “true identity”, but use caution in doing so.

Boating forums are excellent places to learn new things and make new friends. You can also share what you’ve learned so other people can take in your tips. Boating forums are great places, just be sure you are staying safe just as in any online forum. Then enjoy what you will learn and put that information to use on your next boating adventure!

Be True to Yourself

If your online marketing material stimulates an image in your mind that is just not you, likely you've been trying to model your approach after someone else or you've been using work produced by someone else without giving them the benefit of knowing you, learning your approach, sharing your ideas and interjecting your personality into the material.

So, what's the solution?

The solution to this dilemma is to be yourself and let your personality show through in your online marketing materials.

If you are writing a blog entry in the midst of a snowstorm and it is "a bit nippy outside" don't hesitate to say so. When you let your personality shine your image will be your own, not one you have crafted that will change from day to day depending upon what you have read most recently.

There's lots of talk about branding in regard to online marketing. The basic principles of branding are to decide on the image you wish to portray and what message you want to drive home.

While some people could write a book on how to brand your business, there are really only a handful of factors to consider - your image, your purpose and your message. The purpose of a brand is to craft something that will stick in the minds of people and help them to remember your business.

Creating and building a strong brand does not have to compromise your personality. The only real decision is whether you want to be casual or professional. In the world of online marketing, retaining your personality and your identity will go far in branding your business. You'll be much happier with the long-term effects of your online marketing if you don't try to be someone you are not. Be yourself and have fun.

Estimate of Annual Revenue and Profit

(G)astronomical Profit Potential

Whether you plan to cater small, intimate affairs every day, or huge extravaganzas for %0,000 people once a year, the profit margin potential in the catering business is extremely high. Some caters manage to walk away with 66% of pre-tax profits. That figure may seem hard to believe, but when you stop and think about all the ways caterers can keep their overhead to practically nothing it becomes a more credible figure

You can begin your catering service out of your own home, using a spare bedroom as your office. You can use your own kitchen (but be careful about Health Department regulations) or perhaps rent a kitchen in a restaurant, school, or church on an as-needed basis. You needn't employ any full-time waiters or bartenders etc.,there's a whole army of part-time people out there willing to work when you need them. There are very few items you may need to cater an affair that you can't rent for the day, these include china, flatware, glasses, tents...

About the only immediate cash-outlay you'll encounter is what's needed to market your services. You will want to think carefully about what market you want to target and pick your advertising medium to reach that targeted population... If you are interested in catering for weddings, you may want to contact florists, department store heads, musicians, and people in charge of places that book weddings. If corporate entertainment is more to your liking you'll want to contact the corporations in your area (the chambers of commerce should be able to supply you with area names).

Know Which Side Your Bread is Buttered On

By far the most important marketing tool you will need to cultivate is word of mouth. Most brides, corporations, etc.,are not going to risk embarrassment by trying an unknown caterer. If you are fortunate enough to have a good reputation when you enter the catering business, i.e., were the chef at a successful restaurant on that in your advertising. If you are starting cold, you may need to be really creative in order to get your business going.

Perhaps you will need to invest some capital in throwing a party of your own and invite the decision-makers from various corporations in your area, or the aforementioned florists, department store heads, etc. These people are not going to risk their equally valuable reputations by recommending an unknown entity -- so give them something to remember and to endorse.

Also, especially in the beginning, add that little extra touch to the affairs you cater. DON'T CUT CORNERS! Remember, your compensation will not always come in the form of dollars and cents, reputation is equally as valuable, perhaps more so in the long run. Remember -- that little "extra touch" is often more effective and sometimes cheaper than advertising.

Where Are You Going?

In the catering business, you have an unlimited growth potential. You can buy your own facilities and accoutrements, hire full-time chefs and servers, use temperature-controlled holding cabinets and vans, or you can rent just about anything you need.

You may decide you want to cut down on the middle-man's profits by owning the items you find yourself renting on a regular basis: china, flatware, tents. You may want to enhance your recognition factor by designing a "signature" for instant recognition, for example, painting your logo on the outside of your delivery van. People will see this logo as the van moves around the city and when it is at the site of an affair you are catering.

Food for Thought

While 70% of the restaurant is food oriented with the rest going for service, organization, etc.,this figure flip-flops to 30% in the catering business, the rest being delivery, transporting the food, lining up rental equipment, juggling personnel. Organization is what counts in the catering business.

You also need to be a "salesman" with a magnetic personality in the catering business. You are going to deal with corporate executives, party planners and nervous brides. You will need to convince your prospective clients that you will not only provide a memorable feast, but it will be there on time, presented attractively, and served quickly and unobtrusively.

There are a number of sidelines that naturally spring from the catering business. You can act as a coordinator for flowers, party locations, or themes. You can be caterer and party planner, caterer and florists, caterer and rental agent. Don't limit your options. Be creative!

Remember, if people wanted to stick to a set menu, they could go to a restaurant, so be flexible. Make your menu suggestions, just suggestions ( a starting point, if you will). Le the client be your guide, but don't miss opportunities to turn a modest "do" into a major profit-making event. Don't hesitate when you see an opportunity to "bump-up the bottom line of an event. You may be able to turn a barbecue into a Hawaiian luau complete with roast pig.

Make sure that every event is party to remember. Go that extra inch, sometimes it can be a mile -- and result in mile-high profits. The only restrictions placed on your catering business are those you place there yourself.
