No matter what, you are going to deal with some stuff on the floor beneath the cage, so you should have it in an area of the home that has a floor, which is easy to clean, and preferably not carpet.

It is important to make sure that you clean your bird’s cage on a regular basis because your bird is going to make a mess, and it is much more healthy for the bird if the cage is cleaned.
